This is the shortlist you would send a friend: 9 myrtle beach escape games tours worth the money, each with its price, its running time and the one thing to know before you commit.
At Riga Tony’s in Myrtle Beach, you enter a 1930s speakeasy, enjoy an Italian dinner, and help solve a comic murder mystery. Expect audience participation, character actors, clues, music, and a few chances to join the action. The show starts at 6 p.m. and lasts about three hours.
“It's hard to figure out, and entertaining. The only thing that could be better is the food. It's totally worth seeing.”
At Broadway at the Beach, you and up to seven others get 60 minutes to solve clues and finish one of five missions. Choose time travel, prison escape, secret-agent work, a gold hunt, or a submarine adventure. A game guide briefs you, offers hints, and leads the debrief.
“Challenging! You need to work under time constraints which adds to the challenge. Not for young children. Was a good brain workout and much fun!”
You’ll join a group of up to 10 at Myrtle Beach Room Escape Games on 9th Avenue for a one-hour Walking Dead mission. Search for clues, solve puzzles, use up to three hints if needed, and race the clock through a decorated zombie-themed room. The activity begins and ends at the same location.
“It was a lot of fun and challenging!! We escaped!!!! I definitely recommend this escape room!!! The staff was amazing!!!”
Step into a Wizard of Oz-themed escape room at 316 9th Ave N in Myrtle Beach. You have 60 minutes to search for clues, solve puzzles, and move through multiple rooms. The experience is offered in English, can include up to 10 players, and provides limited hints when your group gets stuck.
“We had so much fun! Our family of 5 really enjoyed the Wizard of Oz escape room! The staff was friendly and helpful before, during and after! Highly recommend! (Our oldest son had been here on a prior trip and had done another one of the rooms, so we knew this was a great place to come!)”
Spend 60 minutes solving a themed mission at The Escape Game Myrtle Beach. Choose from Gold Rush, Prison Break, Special Ops, Timeliner, or The Depths. A game guide leads your group, offers unlimited hints, and helps keep the action moving. Groups may include up to eight players.
“The clues were great. We love challenges and we were paired with other people which we had fun even with strangers”
Explore Myrtle Beach at your own pace with the Crazy Dash app, a remote host, clue hunting, and funny photo challenges. Start and finish at 1110 N Ocean Blvd, use your own smartphone, and compete on a national leaderboard during this private, two-hour activity.
“Very generic questions that aren't specific to Myrtle Beach. Also stopped working after the 5th mission.”
Start at Lulu’s Cafe and use your phone to tackle photo missions, local questions, and playful challenges across Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet. A remote host such as MaryAnna guides your team by text. Expect some driving, indoor and outdoor stops, and a two-hour game for families, friends, and work groups.
“I booked the hunt as a fun surprise for my boyfriend and we had such a great time our host MaryAnna was so amazing she was so entertaining and really made our experience even better. Even though it was virtual (not a probable at all super cool idea!) we both felt that our guide was so present. We had so much fun completing the hunt and exploring the city we will definitely be doing this again and check out the other city hunts 🫶”
You use your own fully charged phone to follow a two-hour, app-led challenge from Plyler Park to Ocean Drive Beach, the SkyWheel, and Ripley's Aquarium. A remote host can help with questions, while your group earns points, completes photo tasks, and checks its ranking against other players.
“We thought we were going on an actual scavenger hunt where you figure out 1 clue to get to the next clue. This was not that at all. All you basically do is walk around and take pictures of stuff. We quit after 15 minutes.”
You and up to nine teammates use your own smartphone to search Myrtle Beach for survival items and complete zombie-themed challenges. The app lets you choose your route and sends your score to national rankings, while a remote guide helps by chat during this one-hour private activity.
“We didn’t know if our answers were right or wrong. Could have bought one ticket for the entire family and use one phone if you’re staying together.”
